It is high time to have speed limit for all the vehicles (esp buses) on all the roads in both the districts. Also the administration should install speeding cameras on all the roads to monitor the same. Further hefty fines should be imposed (Eg- Rs 2,500/- to Rs 5,000/-) similar to what we have here in UAE or even impound vehicles.

off late we are reading of so many projects and other initiatives for the city but the need of the hour is to have speed limits and install speeding cameras or priority.

Trip timings are forcing the private bus drivers to drive fast and cause accidents. There are many incidents in the past too. Authorities can't sit quiet like this. Drivers should not work under pressure coz the ultimate result will be accidents. Why not D.K and Udupi have all government run city buses.

I have seen the vehicular traffic in Mangalore for almost ninety years and I have no hesitation in stating that bus drivers are offenders in this regard. They do not seem to have respect for human lives. Very strict vigilance by the Police is the need of the day.
