Mangaluru, Mar 24: A woman assistant sub-inspector in the city has been served with a show cause notice for riding a two-wheeler without wearing helmet as mandated by law. The incident had happened at Gandhinagar 8th cross near Mannagudda in the city.

A journalist, who saw the woman police officer driving away her two-wheeler without wearing the helmet had clicked her picture and sent it to the deputy commissioner of police (traffic and crime) through WhatsApp. The deputy commissioner of police, who has considered this issue with all seriousness, has issued a notice to the official.

    why only notice?like any other citizen she too should get punishment,and pay .No extra Salami for her.They should not only teach People,but also a model example.

    Don't we feel it is targeted attack. In City like Mangalore so many people riding bike without helmet ,have any body taken photo and sent to commissioner ?.To be healthy society this vigilance should come to all irrespective of his profession.
