Addressing a press conference here on Thursday March 23, member of the central committee of the confederation, Satish Shetty, demanded suitable steps against the accused.

Shetty accused a customer named Amar Soans K J of hitting an officer of Syndicate Bank's Katipalla branch for seeking documentary proof of his identity. He said that the confederation had planned protest against this behaviour.

The bank staff set off in procession from the regional office of the bank on Light House Hill Road here to the office of the city police commissioner where they a held symbolic protest and handed over a memorandum.

Satish Shetty has accused the police of arresting the accused after five days of filing the complaint, and then charging him with offences under weak sections of law so that he could get bail immediately. As this gives a wrong signal to the society, he has demanded for stern action against the accused.

Leaders of the union like Ravi Pinto, Amar, Girish Kumar and K Kunhanna Naik and Eknath Baliga were present at the press conference.

FOR WHAT REASON BANK CUSTOMER ATTACKED IS ?. BUT IN MANY BRANCHES BANK EMPLOYEES THINKING THAT THEIR SALARY IS PAID BY THE CHAIRMAN/DIRECTORS POCKET. BANK EMPLOYEES SHOULD REMEMBER EACH CUSTOMER OF BANK CONTRIBUTING FOR THEIR SALARY. IN SOME BRANCHES BANK EMPLOYEES ARE VERY RUDE AND IRRESPONSIBLE .
