Beltangady: Four members of Kajoor Dargah Committee suspended by Wakf Board

Beltangady, Mar 14: Karnataka Wakf Board has suspended four members who had were appointed to the managing committee of Kajoor Rahamania Jumma Masjid and Dargah Shariff in the taluk. They are general secretary, J H Abubakker Siddque, joint secretary,Usman, and members, Abdul Hakim K K and K P Usman Kukkavu.

11 members had been appointed to the managing committee of the said mosque and Dargah. The Board took steps to suspended these four, after finding that they face criminal cases. The suspensions will be in force till further orders.

In the past, after various charges were levelled against the Dargah Committee at Kajoor, the managing committee was dismissed. Wakf Board had then appointed an administrative officer. Later, after a case was filed in court, the court had asked to hold an election. Thereafter, the Wakf Board had given its nod for a list of 11 members that was sent to it without bringing it to the notice of the Jamaat here. Several persons including K A Abubakker, Badruddin, B A Yousuf Shariff, and K Abdul Rahiman had questioned these appointments in the Wakf Board and high court.
