Mangalore: Cash, Cell Phone Stolen from Army Doc in Train

Mangalore, Mar 5: A sum of Rs 8,000 and a cell phone belonging to an army doctor were stolen in the wee hours of Tuesday March 4 when he was travelling by West Coast Express with his family.

In a complaint lodged with the Railway Protection Force, the victim Dr Manoj Gopinath stated that between Nileshwar and Kanhangad, he discovered the theft of his cell phone worth Rs 12,000 and cash, totalling Rs 20,000.

Dr Gopinath was travelling with his wife and mother, police sources informed. The case has been handed over to Kasargod police by the railway police for further investigation, sources informed.
