Mumbai, Mar 9: The women's wing of Billavara Association on the eve of Women's Day celebrations felicitated at Billavara Bhavan, Narayana Guru auditorium on March 8, newly elected mayor of Thane, Meenakshi Poojary and Mumbai corporation member Jagadish K Ameen on behalf of the association.

National Billava Maha Mandal president Bharath Bank executive president Jaya C Suvarna together with Billavara Association Mumbai president Nithyananda D Kotian and office bearers placed a turban on the head, wrapped a shawl, presented fruits and flowers and memento to the newly elected leaders.

Political leaders Laxman Poojary, Srinivasa R Karkera, association honorary secretary Dharmapala G Anchan, women's wing executive president Shakuntala K Kotian, former executive president Jayanthi V Ullal, women's wing deputy executive presidents Vialasini K Salian and Prabha K Bangera, chief secretary Sumithra V Bangera, joint secretaries Dr Geethanjali L Salian, children's psychiatrist Dr Megha Bhayani, advocate Rohini J Salian, Vidyaraja Salian, Baby S Kukyan and others who were present on the occasion, honored and congratulated them.

Association vice president Raja V Salian, Bhaskar V Bangera, Shankera D Poojary, Dr U Dhananjaya Kumar, honorary chief treasurer Mahesh C Karkala and other office bearers were present. Women and young girls, members of different local and coordination committees presented various dances on the occasion.
