Bengaluru: Jaya Karnataka team wins 'Karavali Milan' championship

Bengaluru, March 9:  Jaya Karnataka won the cricket championship at  'Karavali Milan', the annual tennis ball-cricket tournament at Bengaluru's Loyola educational institute sports ground on Bannerghatta road on Sunday, March 5. The tournament was organised by Bengaluru's Karavali Prathistana.

26 teams participated in the tournament. In the finals, Jaya Karnataka team defeated the strong C B C cricketers of Bengaluru and were declared champions.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Executive president Niranjan Suvarna and office bearers cordially welcomed the guests and players to the event. BJP Yuva Morcha state chief secretary, advocate Prem Prasad Shetty, Konkani community leaders, 'Tuluverenkulu' society vice president Charles Gomes and other dignitaries lit the lamp and set the tournament in motion.

Anil Shetty commended the work of Karavali Prathistana during the last five years and congratulated everybody connected to the organisation. Organised president of Karavali Prathistana, Palli Vishwanath Shetty compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
