Mangaluru, Mar 8: As part of its 50 year celebration, St Christopher Association held several programmes. A programme for members on 'concern towards health in life' was held at Don Bosco Hall on March 3.
Renowned doctor of Father Muller Hospital, Dr Edward Nazareth arrived as resource person. He elucidated on how to maintain health in life. “Regular health check up is necessary after the age of 35 years. Most problems can be prevented by checking blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol once in six months. As modern day work does not involve physical activity, it is good to exercise or walk for half an hour everyday.”
Association spiritual director, Fr J B Crasta distributed free medical cards of Father Muller Hospital to the members and urged them to take extra care of health. Honorary president of the association and programme convener of 50th year celebration, Sushil Noronha detailed the several programmes taken up during the year. Souvenir convener Godwin Pinto explained the details of the souvenir. Association president Herald D'Souza welcomed the gathering. Secretary Nigil Pereira proposed the vote of thanks.
Vice president Francis D'Souza and assistant secretary Lena D'Souza were on the dais.
