Mangalore: 'Appreciation Award' for MRPL from Excise Dept

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) for the fifth consecutive year has been accorded the `Appreciation Award' for outstanding contribution to the Mangalore Commissionerate of Central Excise., informed a press communique here on Friday February 29 issued by corporate communications, MRPL.

Further according to the press communique, MRPL's contribution accounts for 94%  of the revenue of the entire commissionerate. This has facilitated the commissionerate in exceeding the target for 2007-08 much ahead of time.

The award was received by group general manager - finance, P S Ravindran, on behalf of MRPL from Rajasekharan Warrier, vice-chancellor, Manipal University during 'The Annual Central Excise Day' function which was held in the city recently.
 
MRPL conducted a `Chemical and Catalyst Vendor Meet' recently to facilitate clear understanding of procurement procedures, procurement cycle, integrity pact, common reasons for rejection of bids, common mistakes made by bidders and also emerging technology-supported procedures like e-auction and e-procurement.
