Mangaluru, Feb 23: BJP's minority morcha in the district has expressed its opposition to the arrival and proposed speech in Mangaluru of Kerala Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday, February 25.
Joylous D'Souza, district president of the morcha in a release alleged that CPIM has killed or made handicap in Kerala those who spoke against the party and snatched their freedom during the last one year. He blamed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for it.
“People in Karnataka have contributed to communal harmony and have been a model in the country. The speech by Pinarayi Vijayan is an attempt to spoil the harmony, support naxal activities and induce communal friction by dividing the society. The people do not need the speech that proclaims communist principles”, he said.
He said that a protest rally of 2000 minority community representatives from different parts of the district will be held on Feb 24 and a district bandh will be held on Feb 25 across party lines to oppose the speech.
