The Mangalore Rifle Club is the only second of its kind in the state of Karnataka after Bengaluru. Scarcity of good institutions for sports in the city inspired Mukesh Kumar to start this innovative academy for shooting.

The academy is provided with eight lanes of 10m air rifle and air pistol training with a full time coach.

Currently due to the shortage of funds, the academy uses Indian made rifles, further on finding some sponsors, the academy wishes to upgrade to German made rifles and pistols.

The academy wants to provide the best facilities in the country so that a large number of participants emerge from the state of Karnataka and particularly from the state of Mangaluru.

The academy also plans to develop 50m and 25m range in rifle and pistol shooting and to also have training in skeet shooting.

More information about the academy, will be found at www.mangalorerifleclub.com.
