Mangalore, Feb 21: Drama is an effective medium, by which social messages can be conveyed, opined Fr Francis Lewis, director of the city’s Sandesha Foundation.
He was addressing the gathering at the mahurtha of the Tulu drama ‘Kode-Ini-Elle’ (yesterday-today-tomorrow) written and directed by famous theatre director, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, held at Hotel Woodland, here on Thursday February 21.
Dramas have no religious boundary, dramas can go beyond religion and bring in social transformation. One should not consider drama a mere form of entertainment, rather should realize as a tool that caters to the promotion of thriving humanity, Fr. Lewis added.
Giving life is a gift by God to the Mankind, but the way one lives in turn would be the gift of mankind to God, hence ‘we need to live with harmony,’ he opined.
Sri Isha Vitaldasa Swamiji Saandhipani of Sri Kshetra Kemaru Math, K S Mohammed Masoud, former chairman of State Minority Commission, Chandrakala Nandavara, principal of Sri Ganapati PU College and others were present on the occasion.
