Mangaluru, Feb 12: The international school activity exhibition at Carmel School Mangaluru drew vast crowd here on Saturday February 11. This unique inaugural commenced with an invocation.
Cynthia Renjal greeted the audience with words of welcome. Sr Edna Furtado the joint secretary of St Ann’s institutions and the superior of St Ann’s Convent inaugurated this educative exhibition.
Coordinator, Sonia Rodrigues gave a comprehensive picture of international school project. Tying a ceremonial ribbon across the main entrance of the building, was expurgated in a ritual manner by Sr Ida Barboza the Apostolic Carmel Educational Secretary of Karnataka Province, to signify that what is behind the ribbon is waiting to be presented to the eminent invitees. The other dignitaries present were Nicola Kis from France, Lungten Dorji, Dil Bhadur Rai from Bhutan and Ishan Dilruksha from Sri Lanka .
Under the able leadership and direction of Sr Sarika, principal, seven projects were taken up by different classes viz national fruit, garden flowers, traditional attire, currencies of the world, milk and milk products, healers and harvest festivals.
Going through the exhibits at the school the guests appreciated the students and the teachers for the meticulous efforts.
