Mangaluru Catholic cooperative bank, the prestigious bank of Dakshina Kannada district known as MCC Bank, shifted its Kundapura branch with modern facilities to Harsh complex, Kundeshwara Temple Road on saturday, February 11.
Muncipal Council President Vasanthi Mohan Sarang inaugurated the new premises. Speaking on the occasion she said “Banking has become an indivisible part of human life. Banks should create awareness on cashless business”
Holy Rosary church parish priest Fr Anil D'Souza, blessed the branch premises and said "The bank has secured the trust of customers with excellent service. May it reach greater heights and increasingly serve the poor and the weak”.
Young entrepreneur Abhinandan Shetty who inaugurated the strong room said that transparent business and discipline helps the bank to remain as one of the leading banks. “It is possible to get customer's trust by providing excellent service while lending loans and collection of deposits,” he said.
MCC Bank chairman Francis Cutinho presided over the programme and said Kundapura branch customers will be able to make use of locker, demand draft, RTGS and NEFT facilities. Bank intends to provide ATM, SMS and NRI facilities in the future and the same is in process. "The bank has awarded with Best performing Bank in the South Canara District and also in the State level Best performing bank in the category of Working capital in Mysore Division. These two back to back awards are due recognition of the hardworking and efficient services of board of directors, staff and the support of the customers and members." he said.
He thanked all the customers of Kundapur Branch for the due support to the bank.
Kundapur Jamia Masjid president K Abdul Razak inaugurated Jewel cabin. Valerian Menezes Kota was the chief guest, building owner Suresh Kamath, General Manager Sunil Menezes, Vice Chairman Alwyn P. Patrao and directors of the bank were present.
Senior customers were felicitated on the occasion. Power lifter Jackson D'Souza, bank's Kundapur branch manager Sandeep Quadros were honoured.
