Udupi, Feb 11: "The morals and ethics followed by coastal-dwellers results in the development of the district's financial organisations. In other places, we see credit being taken from banks but not repaid. This leads to many financial institutions shutting down or going into bankruptcy," said Pejawar Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji on Friday, February 10, at the silver jubilee celebration of Karavali Credit Co-operative Society, at Santekatte.
On the occasion, he inaugurated the recently renovated air-conditioned office of the Karavali Credit Co-operative Society.
After the inauguration, Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji addressed the gathering and said, "Due to the mutual understanding between the customer and co-operative society, profits grow continuously. With honesty comes God's grace. Co-operative societies help rural people. These services should continue in the future.
"For one's social life to be smooth, one must exhibit honesty in one's life and profession," he added.
