Union government of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) led by Congress has not pursued its manifesto and common minimum programme. The government is following anti-youth and anti-people policies. The communal forces are using the section of people who are dissatisfied with UPA governance, for their own gains. Besides, the nation is going through hard times owing to terrorist activities all over the country. Accordingly, DYFI will be staging the protest in front of Parliament building and will present the memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, urging him to discontinue anti-people policy and follow pro-youth policies, curb communalism and all forms of terrorist activities.
Although, around twenty five per cent of youth in the country are capable to contribute for the nation, they are still unemployed. Moreover, unemployed youth are being used by communal forces to spread communal hatred in the society.
Both terrorism and communal violence are taking the toll of innocent people posing a threat to national unity. Moreover, few Muslim radicals are found to be luring the talented youth from their own community, for anti-national activities with an objective of disrupting peace and harmony.
