Mangaluru, Jan 29: "Yenepoya Group is a role model for others in the district with its policy of providing quality education with modern technology," said Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Educational and Charitable Trust.
He was speaking after inaugurating Yenepoya Education Fair -2017 organized by Yenepoya Group at Yenepoya School, Jeppinamogaru here on Saturday, January 28.
"Most of the educational institutions operate with profit motive while Yenepoya is known for its integrity and selfless service to the society, with the sole intention of shaping the futures of the young generation. This is a commendable achievement," Prof Nayak added.
Farhad Yenepoya, financial director of Yenepoya Group, who presided over the function, said, "The role of teachers behind the success of students is very important. Yenepoya Dental College, which is celebrating silver jubilee, is in the forefront in educating the society about cancer. It has created noteworthy awareness taking it as a social responsibility."
Chancellor of Yenepoya University Yenopoya Abdulla Kunhi was the chief guest. Sripathi Rao, dean of Yenepoya Dental College and Gulam Jilani, dean of Yenepoya Medical College were present, among others. Prof Hobi E C compered.
Various stalls exhibiting information about Yenepoya Group and food stalls with a variety of dishes prepared by students of the Institutes were centres of attraction.
Cultural programme enthralled the gathering.
