Mangalore, Feb 12: Popular Front of India (PFI) took a rally at Ullal as part of ‘People’s March for New Karnataka’ campaign on Monday, February 11 evening.
Later the stage programme was held near Ullal town panchyat office. Well-known thinker G Rajashekhar was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he lashed the media for depicting Muslims as anti-nationals and questioned their wrong stand regarding the minorities.
Meanwhile he stated that BJP had come to power only to gain benefit from Bellary iron ore mining business. The state government has fallen only because of this mining lobby. Hence, BJP has no moral right speak about others, he said.
The state is suffering from political vacuum and immorality. No political party will get clear majority in the coming assembly election also, he asserted.
A M M Shafi, treasurer of Popular Front of India presided over the function. S S Khazi, Ashraf Moulvi, Abdul Rahiman Malpe, Anwar Sadat, Ataullah Jokatte and others were present on the dais.
Abubakkar Kulai welcomed the gathering. Abdul Rauf proposed the vote of thanks. Ibrahim Addur compered the programme.
