M'lore: Srinivas College of Hotel Management to Organize ‘HOG-2008’

Mangalore, Feb 7: Srinivas College of Hotel Management and Vijayalakshmi Institute of Hospitality Sciences will be organizing its annual food festival ‘HOG-2008’ on Saturday February 9.

Speaking to media persons on Thursday February 7, Vinayraj, principal in-charge of Srinivas College of Hotel Management said that the food festival was started since 1993 to expose the students to the intricacies of event management. It is also an attempt to integrate the society with the activities of the college. The students are expected to generate a business models and execute the model. They generate the funds and manage the production, finance and marketing functions of the event, he added.

This year HOG will be confluence of high decibel music and food. Culinary talent of the student will be on offer at the food court. The food court will be having an assorted mix of international cuisine from India, China, Mexico and Thailand. Regional cuisines of Kerala, Punjab and Gujarat will be adding up to make the food court a Gourmets’ paradise, he continued

The programme will be inaugurated by M Veerappa Moily, chairman of Union Administrative Commission, at 3.30 p m on Saturday February 9, followed by live demo classes and various cuisines and mocktails, Vijayraj told.

Anil Kumar, Padmanabha, Vijaykumar Pai, Vikas Shervegar, Yash Chotai, Pavanya, Sharath Kumar, Varun Shetty and Prashanth Prabhu were present at media conference.
