Panaji, Feb 5: Reshuffle in the Goa cabinet seems to be imminent with the coordination committee of the Congress-led alliance partners deciding 'to bring in all the partners into the government process.'

Sources close to the chief minister confirmed that Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) legislator Ramkrishna Dhavalikar would be given cabinet berth while any Congress minister will have to sacrifice his chair.

It is also confirmed that the chief minister will take back disputed finance portfolio, which is currently with minister Dayanand Narvekar.

"Yes. We have taken certain decisions. We will bring into process all the alliance partners in the coalition government," NCP leader Prafulla Patel told PTI in South Goa on Thursday February 5.

The coordination committee meeting chaired by All-India Congress committee general secretary B Hariprasad had NCP leader Patel, Goa chief minister Digamber Kamat, Congress' Goa chief Fransisco Sardinha, NCP's Goa chief Dr Wilfred D'Souza and others including ministers Vishwajeet Rane, Fransisco Pacheco, Jose Philip D'Souza, Churchill Alemao participating in it.

Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party was represented by its both the legislators – Ramakrishna Dhavalikar and Pandurang Dhavalikar.

The coordination committee is an off shoot of recent political coup led by NCP legislators, who had put up several demands after withdrawing support from the Congress-led coalition government.

Stripping off finance portfolio from Narvekar was one amongst the demand vociferously pressed by the dissident legislators during the political crisis on January 16.

"There was uncertainty but that does not remain now. We have taken certain decisions at Delhi level that are being conveyed now," AICC GS Hariprasad said reacting to a question.

Replying to yet another question, Patel said that the uncertainty was due to communication gap which would be now bridged through a coordination committee. "The coordination committee aims to discuss and sort out all the issues collectively," Patel said.

Meanwhile, Goa chief minister Digamber Kamat refrained from commenting anything on the meeting. "I will implement whatever has been discussed and decided in the meeting," he told after concluding the three-hour-long meeting at south Goa hotel.
