New York, Jan 11 (IANS): Microsoft is launching a web-based account privacy dashboard that gives users control over their data and lets them monitor the information Microsoft services use.
According to a report in Endgadget on Wednesday, users can view and wipe their Bing search history, Edge browsing history and their location activity and edit data for Cortana Notebook and Microsoft Health.
Microsoft has also promised that Windows 10 Creators update will have a better privacy experience from the start.
"You will walk through a new setup process that clarifies your privacy choices, whether you are starting fresh with Windows 10 or already have it installed," the report noted.
Microsoft's diagnostic data collection options will also be streamlined to two (Basic and Full), and it will collect less data at that basic level.
