Panaji, Jan 27: Multi-lingual poets' meet was organized by Institute Menezes Braganza, as part of Republic Day celebrations, here on Friday January 25.
Well-known Marathi poet Ramdas Futane form Pune presided over the function and eminent Konkani poet Vishnu S Wagh was the moderator of the programme.
Multi-lingual poet meet was attended by poets from various parts of the country. Noted Konkani poet Melvyn Rodrigues from Mangalore, Marathi poet Hemant Joglekar form Pune, Konkani poet Suvarna Gaad from Honnavar, Marathi poet Suresh Shinde from Maharastra, Konkani poet JB Moraes form Mumbai, Marathi poet Asavari Kakade from Pune, Gujarathi poet Dilip Zaveri from Mumbai, Hindi poet Vishnu Wagh form Goa, Sanskrit poet LK Pitre from Goa, Kannada poet Mahabala Murthy Kodlekere from Bangalore, Urdu poet Dr Khursheed Alam from Mumbai, Hindi poet Vikram Singh from Agra and Urdu poet Brijesh Amber from Jodhpur were present.
A memento was presented to all the poets who attended the poets' meet by president of the Institute Surlekar and were honoured by Pundalik Naik, vice-president of the Institute with a bouquet. Ashok V Parab, proposed vote of thanks.
