Mangaluru: Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy NSS unit inaugurated

Mangaluru, Dec 8: The NSS unit of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, here in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru organized a special camp inauguration at Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Model Higher Primary School, Kavoor, here on December 8.

The camp was inaugurated by M A Nataraj, circle inspector, Kavoor police station. He stressed on Swacch Bharath, self cleanliness, house cleaning, roads and to perform shramadhan which helps maintain national peace.

Dr Ranjith Shetty, trustee, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust presided over the function. He enlightened the physiotherapy students on involvement and awareness on the importance of social service which should be done voluntarily without waiting for the government. Professor L Gladson Jose, principal, Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy motivated the students and spoke on the motto of NSS.

The programme commenced with a prayer song and lamp lighting ceremony. Students of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy Divya Devadiga delivered the welcome speech and Sharavathi delivered the vote of thanks. Umesh, SDMC, Gangadhar, headmaster of the school, Dr Sarath C, NSS assistant co-ordinator, Dr Cynthia Maria Sibi, K Bharathi, Dr Jumkit Lepcha and Dr Priya Rai faculty members of the college were present on the occasion.

The press note was issued by Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, senate member RGUHS, Bengaluru and NSS co-ordinator, Dr M.V.Shetty College of Physiotherapy.
