Panaji, Jan 19: With no immediate solution for political crisis in sight, the BJP on Friday January 18 demanded dismissal of the Digamber Kamat-led Congress government in Goa saying it has lost majority. "This government has no business to be in power," BJP general secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy stated.
Rudy, who is here to take stock of the developing political situation in Goa, said his party would raise the issue at the appropriate level in Delhi.
"The centre has to answer why they had imposed President's rule in Nagaland and turning blind towards Goa when similar situation was arising here," he said.
Lashing out at S C Jamir, Rudy said the governor had played a "dubious role" in July last year when the Kamat government plunged into crisis when its alliance partners withdrew support.
"This time too the governor has turned a blind eye towards the entire developments in the state. He is adding up to his unconstitutional behaviour," Rudy alleged.
He said the Kamat government has to prove that they were in majority on the floor of the House.
Rudy said the BJP has nothing to do with the current political crisis in the state. "This is the problem within the Congress and we are away from all the happenings," he said.
