Mangaluru, Nov 14: St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology’s (AIMIT) flagship event 'Insignia 2016', a national level management fest, will explore the concept of 'Organisational Renaissance' this year.
The event which is to take place on the November 15 and 16 promises to bring to the participating students glimpses of renaissance in business and rounds in the fields of strategy, wealth management, social initiative, creativity and inovation, and finally, the best management round. As the name suggests, none of these events are the traditional compartmentalized management fests rounds of marketing, HR or finance. They are focused on different arenas of renaissance in business. AIMIT will also be organizing a mega-cultural evening on November 15 at 5 pm.
Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, director AIMIT has provided all his support and guidance to ensure that Insignia 2016 becomes a resounding success. Dr Oswald Mascarenhas SJ, chairman of MBA programmes and JRD TATA, chair professor of business ethics, XLRI, is the chief architect of the theme of the event. The event coordinators professor Justine James and professor Swapna Rose along with Elton D'Souza, student coordinator, and staff and students of Department of MBA, AIMIT have been working tediously for the past few months in order to bring together a well compiled set of events as well as a cultural programme to make the experience of the participating colleges across India a fruitful one.
Professor K Byrappa, vice chancellor, Mangalore University will be the chief guest for the inaugural programme to be held on November 15 at 9.15 am. Ivan Fernandes, chairman, Kanara Entrepreneurs Ltd Global will be the chief guest for the valedictory function to be held on November 16 at 5 pm. At least 25 B Schools from different parts of the country are expected to participate in the event.
Top colleges in the country are expected to attend. The event will be conducted on St Aloysius College state of the art campus, AIMIT, at Beeri, in the city.
