50 Chicago-bound Passengers Offloaded due to Overbooking

PTI

MUMBAI, Jan 8: Around 50 passengers of Air India's Mumbai-London-Chicago flight were offloaded on Tuesday at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here due to 'non-availability' of seats, sources said.

The passengers with confirmed tickets who came to board the aircraft, were denied entry saying no seats were available as the flight was overbooked.

The passengers had a tough time as Air India officials told them they would only be able to board another flight on Wednesday and have been asked to stay in a hotel.
