Mumbai, Nov 7 (IANS): The key Indian equity indices on Monday opened higher following global cues.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 206.57 points or 0.76 per cent higher soon after opening.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 70.40 points or 0.83 per cent higher at 8,504.15 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 27,552.27 points, was trading at 27,480.72 points (at 9.21 a.m.), higher 206.57 points or 0.76 per cent from the previous day's close at 27,274.15 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 27,591.15 points and a low of 27,464.57 points in the trade so far.
