Puttur, Nov 3: Satish Bhandary (45), a resident of Kedila village near Kadaba in the taluk committed suicide by hanging himself at his home on Wednesday November 2. It is gathered that he was distressed at kidney problem that was bothering him since long.
Satish used to operate a jeep which made service trips between Uppinangady and Golithady. On Wednesday morning, he dropped off his two children at Ramakunja school. He then parked his jeep at Athoor before coming back to his home. At his house, he hanged himself from the wooden beam supporting the roof at the cattle shed.
It is gathered that Satish was suffering from kidney-related health complications and prolonged treatment had not improved his condition. He was mentally upset over this and was going through depression. His wife, Pushpalata, said in her complaint that Satish committed suicide on account of depression over his health condition.
Kadaba police have registered a case and begun investigation into this suicide.
