Mumbai, Oct 24: The reading room of Karnataka Sangha Dombivli held a seminar on life in journalism at the office of the sangha in Dombivli on Saturday evening October 22.
Executive president of the Sangha, Divaker Shetty Indrali lit the traditional lamp. President of the Sangha, Vittal A Shetty presided over the programme. Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha, Maharashtra president Chandrashekar Palethady was the resource person. Assistant editor of Udayavani Mumbai edition, Dr Dinesh Shetty Renjala spoke on journalism and growth of writing in Mumbai. Journalist Rons Bantwal spoke on the part of young reporters in journalism. Vittal Shetty in his presidential address said that reporters have the capacity to lift society to the sky and bang it to the lower world.
Vice president Dr Dilip K Korpade, joint secretary Aikala Ganesh Y Shetty, joint treasurer Lokanath A Shetty, advocate Vasanth Kalakote and others were present.
Reading room's executive president Ramesh Kakhandaki welcomed and gave the keynote address. Sanwi Byadani sang a prayer song. Deputy executive president Sukumar N Shetty, honorary secretary Devadas L Kulal, honorary treasurer Chittaranjan M Alva and others presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them. Secretary Sanath Kumar Jain compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
