New Delhi, Oct 18 (IANS): The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on Tuesday announced that Microsoft is one of the first global cloud service providers to achieve MeitYs provisional accreditation to deliver its Cloud solutions to government agencies and departments.
The accreditation empowers government agencies and departments in India to choose Microsoft Cloud to advance their digital transformation, optimise IT operations and transform societies, the company said in a statement.
"Microsoft Cloud provides industry-leading levels of security, privacy controls, compliance, and transparency for Indian government agencies to achieve higher efficiencies, with greater reliability and scalability," Microsoft said in a statement.
With this accreditation, Microsoft can help the Indian government in its journey to provide transformational e-governance services, financial inclusion opportunities, quality healthcare and education to people in the country.
MeitY is the governing body that provides guidelines to all the public sector organisations, government funded and controlled organisations, state and local bodies and state-owned enterprises in India.
