Kundapur, Oct 13: “The state government is bound to provide help to the poor and the weak. Janaspandana programmes emphasise on that direction. Officials need to take more interest in such work,” said district in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj.
The minister was speaking at the Hobli level Janaspandana and the programme for distribution of government facilities, held at Koteshwara Vishwakarma Kalyana Mantapa on October 13.
“The government has implemented several people-friendly programmes. 64,000 BPL cards are issued in the district. Electricity will be provided free to those who do not have it. The last date for submission of applications under 94C and 94CC is extended for the benefit of beneficiaries,” he said.
Several facilities were distributed to beneficiaries in the programme. Petitions and applications were received from the people.
