M'luru: St Milagres Credit Co-Op opens branch at Surathkal

Mangaluru, Oct 6: Mohiuddin Bava inaugurated the 44th branch of St Milagres Credit Souhardha Co-op Ltd at Surathkal on October 2. 

Fr Paul Pinto, parish priest of Sacred Heart Church, Surathkal blessed the occasion and Roy Castelino, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, government of Karnataka was chief guest. The other guests present were Prathibha, Kulai corporator, Surathkal; Ullas Shetty, president Bhantara Sangha, surathkal; Abdul Basheer, assistant officer of the agriculture department, Surathkal; Peter Alex D'Souza, vice president of the parish council, Surathkal; William Mascarenhas, retired assistant controller of the state account department, Surathkal; Asha Crasta, superior of Japamala Convent, Surathkal; Violet Fernandes, vice president of PTA and member of grama panchayat, Permude.

The welcome speech was delivered by Mamta Rebello. Avinash D Almeida and Ivia Sequeira former managing director emceed the occasion. George Fernandes gave a brief  report of the society.

Building owners Jerald D'Souza and Ibert Herald D'Souza were later felicitated by Roy Castelino.

At the end of the programme, Rohit Rodrigues, Surathkal branch manager delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the inaugural function.
