Parrikar sent to Delhi to tackle terrorism: CM

Panaji, Oct 3 (TOI): Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Sunday said that the state has sent a son-of-the-soil, defence minister Manohar Parrikar, to Delhi to “clean up terrorists coming from across India’s border”.

Speaking to reporters in Panaji, Parsekar said, “He (Parrikar) is doing a wonderful job under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” Parsekar was reacting after the recent surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army, in which terrorists were killed in Pakistan- occupied-Kashmir (POK). BJP, in the state, have celebrated the success of the surgical strike and have decided to hold a felicitation for Parrikar in Panaji this week.

Reacting to the newly-formed political party by Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch, Parsekar said that it would benefit the BJP in coming back to power in the 2017 assembly elections.
