Kuwait: Countdown begins for GVOM Season 5 semi-final

Kuwait, Sep 29: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association is all set to host the Kuwait semi-finals of 'Gulf Voice of Mangalore (GVOM) - Season 5' on Friday September 30 at the American International School auditorium from 4.00 pm onwards.

Konkani music field’s noted personalities Alwyn Noronha, Edith D'Souza and Ajith Peter D’Souza as judges and lead guitarist Alwyn Fernandes were received at the Kuwait International Airport by KCWA's managing committee and GVOM Season 5 core committee members. Ronald S A Castelino (Roy Castelino) – president, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy will be the chief guest of the event.

12 semi-finalists are all geared up for their big battle. Kuwait’s popular band 'Muzik Collective' led by John Kiran Gonsalves along with Alwyn Fernandes is all set to leave the audience enthralled with their live music.

The judges along with the previous 4 GVOM title winners from Kuwait – Vinay Lewis, Gladys Lorena, Orson D'Souza and Morvine Quadras will entertain the audience with their melodious voices and hit Konkani numbers. Rib-tickling comedy by Kuwait's popular stage artistes and dances by local talents will be the added attractions of the day.

Keentech Electrical Contracting Co and ISSNAD are the main sponsors of the event. Gates will open for the audience at 3.30 pm. Since it will be a full house show, KCWA managing committee requests all those attending to occupy their seats by 3.45pm, as the show will begin at the slated time which is 4.00 pm.

    First of all big hats off to KCWA for organizing a great platform for talented singers all over GCC countries.All the best to the 12 finalists of GVOM -Kuwait. Happy to see Konkani music field’s noted personalities Alwyn Noronha, Edith D'Souza, Ajith Peter D’Souza and lead guitarist Alwyn Fernandes. Looking forward to watch the show and may the best singer win.
