Panaji, Sep 21 (IANS): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will continue visiting Goa regularly and the constant criticism on social media of his repeated visits here is pre-planned by members of a political party and social media users from outside the state, Goa BJP chief Vinay Tendulkar said on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference here, Tendulkar also said that the former Goa Chief Minister Parrikar, would campaign in every village in the poll bound state ahead of the state legislative assembly elections in 2017.
"We have checked the Whatsapp accounts of one party. 90 per cent people are from outside Goa and this is pre-planned, not even 10 per cent of the critics are from Goa," Tendulkar said, when asked about the flak faced by Parrikar on social media.
Tendulkar also said that central ministers leaving the national capital for their respective home states was nothing new.
"Parrikar will visit every village in Goa ahead of elections. Every effort will be made to ensure that the BJP wins," he said.
"He is here on Saturdays and Sundays because his home is here. Every minister leaves Delhi (on weekends) ... for their respective homes on Fridays and returns on Sundays," Tendulkar said.
