Sullia, Aug 29: A car hit a road barricade and as a result, one died and three sustained injuries. The incident happened at Jyothi Circle here on Sunday, August 28.
Palaniyappa (62) from Koramangala in Bengaluru is the person deceased.

As per the details, Palaniyappa was travelling with his family in a car belonging to Guruprasad to Puttur to get treatment for some ailment. When the car reached Jyothi Circle here, it hit a barricade while avoiding a vehicle which suddenly came in the opposite direction. Palaniyappa was injured seriously as his head hit the dash box in the car.
A rickshaw driver named Shankar immediately took Palaniyappa to a hospital, but he was declared brought dead. His wife Sumathi and family members Suresh and Lakshmi got injured in the accident and were treated in a hospital.
Body of Palaniyappa was sent to Bengaluru after the post-mortem.
