Mangalore, Nov 27: The pumping-out operation of liquid cargo from the sunken Eritrean freighter vessel, M V DenDen, close to Tannirbavi beach has been completed on Monday, November 26, while the talks are underway to salvage the ship, now.
A total of 80 tonnes of furnace oil and 25 tonnes of diesel have been pumped-out to another vessel anchored near the sunken ship DenDen, sources said.
This operation was successfully undertaken by Netherlands-based Switzer Salvage Company with the assistance of off-shore vessel which was equipped with barge and tug boat specially brought from United Arab Emirates (UAE).
