Bangalore, Nov 26: Extending an invitation to JDS leader M P Prakash to join the Samajwadi party, SP State president S Bangarappa on Sunday said he welcomed all 'disgruntled legislators', who believed in the SP's ideology, to join the party.
"Following the recent political developments in the state, it is an apt time for the disgruntled legislators to join the SP," he said here on Sunday.
The current political atmosphere would help the SP gain ground in the state, said Bangarappa who is a sitting member of the Lok Sabha.
He claimed that the BJP and Congress had slowly been witnessing a slow erosion in their mass base due to the 'misrule' by the JDS-BJP coalition and with the Congress witnessing a 'void in leadership' in the state.
He said he would contest when the assembly elections are held.
