Mangalore, Nov 24: Daivik Sakat, a Konkani spiritual programme was launched by Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza at a function held at Fatima Retreat House here on Friday November 23 morning.
The programme is presented by Om Entertainment and produced by Fatima Retreat House. The programme will be telecast every week on V4 and Udupi Channel from December 1, this year onwards.
In his inaugural speech, Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza said, “Daivik Sakat is the name in which we will telecast these spiritual programmes for the benefit of the faithful”. He also expressed his happiness for starting such a programme and telecasting it through local channels.
According to him “Through this we can increase the faith existing in devotees as well as bring all Catholics under one roof, thus spreading the teachings of God.”
He further informed, “Daivik Sakat is a message that flows directly from God. It will protect the whole world. It will also help people to lead their life in a spiritual manner and spread the love of God.”
“Various programmes will be telecast under this name through which we will spread the good work of God,” he said and wished luck and goodwill to the production team.
Fr Rony Prabhu, Fr Ravi Santosh Kamath, Jerenias Braggs, Prof Leena Fernandes and Prof Olga Noronha were present.
