New Delhi, Jul 11 (IANS): With violence over a guerilla leader's killing continuing in Kashmir, Tata Sons-run airline Vistara on Sunday offered to change flights and flight dates free of cost to customers travelling to and from Srinagar.
"In view of the present situation in the Srinagar area, Vistara is offering free date and flight change, and cancellation with full refund, to customers travelling to and from Srinagar in the next 7 days (upto and including July 17), if they so request," Vistara said in a release here.
The airline said the offer is also applicable to customers originating in other cities and connecting to Srinagar via Delhi.
"While we are constantly monitoring the situation, our Srinagar flights are currently operating as per schedule," it said.
Vistara also requested customers leaving Srinagar to report at the airport three hours before departure "in view of enhanced security measures and increased crowding at the airport".
