- The Film-maker will not use his trademark alphabet in the title of his Abhishek Bachchan-Priyanka Chopra production
Mumbai, Nov 12: The London premiere of ‘Om Shanti Om’ (‘OSO’) seemed rather incomplete with Shah Rukh Khan’s director Farah Khan and his best friend Karan Johar missing the event. Neither could attend the show for personal reasons.
Farah is not allowed to travel due to her advanced stage of pregnancy. And Karan, who designed SRK’s clothes in ‘Om Shanti Om’, had to drop out at the last minute due to a family crisis.
“My mother’s (Hiroo Johar) back problem got aggravated and she couldn’t travel. I had to take her for a series of medical tests. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have missed the event for the world. Shah Rukh is family and he had insisted my mom and I be there,” Karan told IANS.
Incidentally, Karan is planning to start a new film featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham with his assistant Tarun Mansukhani.
“We haven’t yet found a title for it,” says Karan adding, “We’re willing to consider titles for this romantic comedy if people have any to suggest.” The good news is that Tarun’s film needn’t follow Karan’s tradition of ‘K’ titles.
“Yes, a non-K title will do. In fact, I might end up giving my next directorial project a title without a ‘K’.
Shocking? But isn’t change the only way to survive in this business?” asks Karan.
