Beckham expects tough tie for England against Wales in Euro

London, June 14 (IANS): Former English football star David Beckham has said that next Thursday's match between England and Wales, in the second round of Group B in Euro 2016, will not be easy.

England began their campaign in the European Championship in France with a 1-1 draw against Russia in Marseille, and next Thursday will face their neighbours Wales in Lens, reports Efe.

"I think we'll beat them but I don't think it's going to be easy because (Wales coach) Chris Coleman has done such a great job with the lads and they've got such a great, strong team spirit," Beckham said on Monday.

The 41-year-old, who played for England 115 times, also praised Real Madrid and Wales forward Gareth Bale for playing a good season and scoring a great goal in Wales' 2-1 win against Slovakia.
