It is said that the Omni car overtook an auto rickshaw to hit the bus coming from the opposite side. The bus driver tried his best to avoid the bus hitting the car when he saw it coming towards the bus in high speed. But fatal accident could not be avoided.

corruption at driving license issuing authority should be checked property...these authorities getting government salary, lot of perks but doing nothing to give quality drivers!!..and that is the reason Indian licenses got no value outside...and drivers should also think responsibly to their talents..'Speed is dangers to driver/passengers but attractive for viewers'..better judge before speed-up

Folks in South Canara drive recklessly. The drivers of Pvt. Bus are role models to others.
Maruti Cars are not built with quality material like german cars.
Most of the cars from Maruti may get Zero Rating in NCAP Test. Local government should at least indicate speed limit of the road.

The young guy driving the car looks to be an inexperienced driver. He may have been trying to show off his half baked driving skills that has resulted in this unfortunate incident.

this incident, we need not blame the bus driver and also the infrastructure. Details and the location clearly says it was a straight road and the Omni driver invited the death for all of them. No mistake of their's all those young girls paid their life for. Also Omni is not a safe vehicle, that also carrying 10 people... unless something really goes wrong like this , we will never realize the intensity of driving so havoc and with so many people... one action of the driver , by slowing down, could have saved all the lives. What a tragedy.

It is not correct to blame RTO or the Goverment. Every driver should know the capacity of his vehicle. The drivers should act and behave responsibly. Rekless overtaking with 11 people on board Omni is invitation to disaster. Hope this incident serves as a warning everyone who drive without patience.

The reason is bad roads, full of slow moving traffic, reckless driving of heavy vehicles like buses, trucks, tankers are main reason for such fatal incidents. And also the drivers patience while driving. Overtaking on single roads is most dangerous habit.

Feeling sad for the inured and deceased. Total negligence and speeding without any patience. More people in such a small vehicle. Overloaded. May God give strength and courage to their families, near and dear ones to bear this loss. May their souls Rest in Peace in Heaven. May God touch and heal all the injured completely.

Omni is having only 800 cc. As per international standard it is not fit to carry 4 passengers. The Indian Government is allowing these companies to produce such car is crime. If any accident like this, there is no chance of without casualties. RTO is also responsible that if this vehicle is allowed to carry more than 5 people.

    What's going on.....
Some people read half the news and comment, some blame it on roads and traffic...
The photographs clearly indicate that the bus driver has put maximum efforts to avert the accident by going to the maximum extreme of the road...
The driver is no more but he and the others would have been alive today if he acted with more patience and responsibility...
    PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY....

How ten people accomodate in omni car. Small vehicles usually doing havoc on tbe road..giving tough time for even well experienced heavy vehicle drivers.
Without giving any signal..small vehicles overtake big vehicles.

If the RTO's are on round, definitely drivers think 10 times before overloading.... It is not neccessary for RTO to be everywhere....their frequent checks will carry some impact... There is no fear, accountability among we Indians...descipline should be IMPOSED....
Also give prizes to public, who click photos of erring drivers who speak on phones while driving with car numbers.... Every one will start wagging their tails...But, does our authorities have guts to carry out such duties....They are doing the duties FOR NAME SAKE AND SALARY...

Overloading is not the cause of the accident. Overspeeding is!!!! Please understand that. Though i would also like to see more vigilance from RTO you simply cannot expect their policing to solve overspeeding in a rural area. Its an individual mistake!!! Its up to us to take responsibility for ourselves and for those who drive trusting us. Blaming RTO, Govt and the rest of the world is not going to solve problems. Discipline needs to be imposed yes, but there should be inclination to be disciplined first!!!
