Udupi, May 27: “Udupi district has secured the first place in Atalji Janasnehi service and government and licensed surveyors in state. The district has also stood second in disposal mutation Sakala services,” said parliamentary secretary and MLA Pramod Madhwaraj in a review meeting, held on Friday, May 27 at zila panchayat Manipal.
“On people’s request, the last date for correction of mistakes in files has been extended. Earlier the last day for correction was March 31,” he informed.
“At the taluk level, 52 LND pendency cases were reported. Out of which 32 cases were cleared and 18 cases should be cleared within three months. There are 136 RR pendency cases. About 76 cases were cleared and 49 cases should be completed within five months and 11 in next six months. LRF pendency (v1) above two and three year is 60 cases, 39 should be clear in three months. There are 18 tribunal cases.”
"In Brahmavar taluk pendency cases above two years are 100 (LND), 40 (RR), 76 (LRF). In Kundapura taluk, it is 136 (LND), 243 (RR), 63 (LRF), 11 (supervisor level pendency). In Byndoor taluk, there are 38 (LND), 48 (RR), 88 (LRF), 47 (supervisor level pendency). In Karkala taluk, there are 69 (LND), 14 (RR), 23 (LRF) and 15 (supervisor level pendency)."
He also presented version two of pending files data during the press meet.
“As many as 11,990 persons have applied for seeking RTC in state. Udupi stands first in district and only next to Mandya in this regard.”
“The old AC Charulatha has cleared 2500 cases. The remaining 500 cases will be attended soon. There were 3000 cases in AC court and 229 cases are pending. These cases will be cleared in next six month to one year.”
“The AC and DC have cleared 2300 cases so far at Udupi taluk level. Nearly 11,136 Form-7 applications are pending for over 16 years in three taluks. The district needs appointment of special assistant commissioner to attend to Form-7(A) files.”
He also pressurized district authorities to increase wage from Rs 7,000 to 10,000 for village accountants.
Regarding water shortage, MLA Pramod said, “Sufficient water is available to last up to June 10. Let us pray that monsoon is not delayed much.”
“If any tahsildar is absent during the review meeting, I will conduct the meeting at the tahsildar’s office,” he added.
