Udupi, Oct 28: The post- Godhra riots in Gujarat are a blot on the democratic system of the country, said writer-thinker G Rajashekhar here on Saturday October 27.

Rajashekhar was speaking at the protest meet organized by the Udupi district unit of the ‘Karnataka Forum for Dignity’, seeking the arrest of the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and dismissal of Gujarat government. He further said that post-Godhra riots were not a spontaneous outburst as claimed by the Sangh Parivar. There was enough proof to show that the post-Godhra riots were systematically planned and executed in an organized manner.

Rajashekhar said that he was not surprised by the recent ‘Tehelka’ expose as the matter has been researched by eminent social workers like Teesta Setalvad and Suresh Hosabet.
