Madrid, May 21 (IANS): Spain chief coach Vicente del Bosque has said that the fact that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are competing in the UEFA Champions League final, and Sevilla won their third consecutive Europa League title, demonstrates the level of Spanish soccer today.
On the Champions League final in Milan between Real and Atletico on May 28, he said on Friday: "The two teams are very good, each in his own way. Neither is better or worse.
"Each game has small details but the most important is that two Spanish teams are in the final."
Another Spanish outfit, Sevilla thumped Liverpool 3-1 on Wednesday to make a hat-trick of Europa League title, the continent's second most important club glory.
"Sevilla is an example of what is currently happening in Spanish soccer," the Real Madrid legend said.
The 2010 World Cup winning coach emphasised that "it is no coincidence" they have achieved their third consecutive Europa League title, reports Efe.
