Udupi, May 19: Dandatheertha educational group of institutes' convener Dr K Prabhakar Shetty said that the centenary building of Kaup Dandatheertha Private Higher Primary School will be inaugurated on May
22 at 10 am.
Speaking at a press conference held at the institute on May 19, he said that Uliyargoli late Muddanna Shetty had started Kannada medium education institute in 1917 and it has grown to mammoth proportions.
The institute is being run by convener Dr K Prabhakar Shetty through Kaup Govinda Memorial trust. The centenary building costing Rs 1.5 crore constructed as the Kannada medium school is completing
100 years, he said.
Dr K Prabhakar Shetty will preside over the programme. Udupi district in-charge and urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake will inaugurate the building.
Mangaluru KMC, retired principal Dr K R Shetty will unveil the statue of the founder. Businessman Kishore Shetty Heroor Abbettuguthu will inaugurate the new auditorium and Bengaluru M J R group managing
director Prakash Shetty will inaugurate the new flag post.
