Mangalore, Oct 25: Lions Club Mangalore Metro Gold in association with Melanta Family of Mogarody will organize a mega medical camp at Padmunja village in Belthangady taluk on Sunday October 28, informed Upadhyaya KS, president, Lions Club Mangalore Metro Gold at press conference here on Thursday October 25.
The camp focuses on the ailments like eyes, heart, cancer and other complications, he added.
HG Venkatesh, lions district governor will inaugurate the camp. KS Upadhyaya, president, Lions Club Mangalore Metro Gold will preside over the function.
The occasion will be graced by Dr B Sanjiv Rai, dean, FMMC, SN Prabhakar Bangera, MLA, Mohan Kamath, vice-district governor, Lions Club, Chidananda Rao, Ramanna Melanta and brothers, Sujatha R Shetty, he informed.
The programme has been hosted in association with Kasturba Medical College and Father Muller Medical College. Cataract surgery will be done for free of cost at Father Muller Medical College. Even spectacles will be distributed for free of cost, he informed.
The club has also decided to give concessions to those who undergo surgery, he stated.
Gopal Krishna Melanta, vice-president, B Ramachandra Rao, director, Nitin Chandra, director were present at the press conference.
