Mangaluru, May 14: “The Keralites have been hurt by the comparison of Kerala to Somalia by Modi and hence BJP may not be able to win even a single seat in upcoming Kerala elections,” said Ibrahim Kodijal, the interim president of the district congress committee (DCC).
Addressing the media persons in city, he said, “Comparing Kerala to Somalia is the continuation of series of lies Modi has been saying since the time of elections. Kerala stands first in literacy in the country and third in cleanliness. It can be considered as the model state in the country. How can he compare this state to Somalia? The people of Kerala have been hurt by this and will teach a lesson to Modi by not voting for BJP.”
“Modi has launched many projects but none of them bore fruit and the tax payers money has gone just for the sake of publicity,” he alleged.
Speaking about the completion of three years by Siddaramaiah regime, he said, “The Siddaramaiah led Congress government has fulfilled more than 110 promises out of 165 promises made in its manifesto. None of the governments in the history have achieved so much. The critics are trying to dent CM’s image by stating that no development has taken place in the state. I am confident that the people of this state will not listen to the false statements. I congratulate him on behalf of the district Congress committee.”
Congress media secretary Nazeer Bajal, leaders Mohan Mendon, Vishwas Daskumar, Padmanabha Naringana and others were present.
