Mangaluru, May 2: The 26th annual general body meeting of Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota was held at the Okkoota office at Kavooru, Mangaluru on Sunday, May 1. New office bearers for 2016-2019 were elected on the occasion. Dharmapal U Devadiga was reelected president.


Lion Jayakara Shetty Indrali was elected honorary president, Nitte Shashidhar Shetty and Karunakar Shetty Mulki were unanimously elected honorary Chief secretary and honorary Chief treasurer.

Lion Diwaker Shetty Sangli, Vijayakumar Jogi Kulshekar, Srinivasa Mankude, Damodar Nisarga, Bhaskar Shetty Sakleshpura, Vijayalaxmi B Shetty Mangaluru and Dr Rajesh Alva were elected Vite presidents. P A Poojary and Sathish Salian Kasargod were elected Joint secretaries, Kadri Navaneetha Shetty, Pushotham Chendla, Kanthi Shetty Bangaluru, Chandrahasa Devadiga Moodbidri were elected organizing secretaries.

Seniors Mahabala Shetty, A C Bhandary, outgoing Chief Secretary S Rathnakumar, M S Shetty, Pradeep Alva, Leeladhar Karkera, elite and members were present. Dharmapal U Devadiga welcomed and compered the programme. Nitte Shashidhar Shetty proposed Vote of thanks.
